In 2018, after receiving a specific word and guidance from her husband, Dr. Annie Smith founded the Youth Social Development Program (YSODEP), a nonprofit promoting civic leadership to youth.
Each year, on the occasion of the Youth Day, YSODEP deploys in high schools and colleges to teach students to discover and realize the dream that God has put in them. The program takes place in Yaoundé, Douala and Buea.
Drs Shawn and Annie Smith also train youth through another program called Eternal Purpose in Christ (EPIC), a wonderful time of learning and sharing for children ages 7-17. Not only do participants learn who they are in Christ, but they learn new skills in various areas such as teamwork, computers, art and more.
According to Dr. Shawn Smith, the nations are following the direction the church is taking. Equipping and serving men and women in all strata of society, beyond the community of saints, has been and always will be a means of leading the whole world to the fulfillment of God’s purpose.
