“The Davidic and Abrahamic covenants are antecedents to the New Covenant. The announcement God made to Abraham was the Gospel pre-figured, stating that God Himself would justify the heathen. In receiving this announcement that the Logos has preselected him to embody the justification of the Gentiles, Abraham became the pioneer of the blessing. Justification is the ultimate blessing. It implies God relates with you without the notion of sin. God’s covenant with Abraham was a preview of His universal justification. Abraham believed he was justified, therefore, he lived blessed.
