Man is a unity comprising a spirit, a soul, and a body. The Gospel provides wholeness to the whole man in the many dimensions of his being. With this in mind, Dr. Shawn Smith has used every means possible to spread God’s love and mercy to all people in order to build a healthy society. Along with his wife, Dr. Annie Smith, he has founded several humanitarian associations to train and minister to men, women and children.

In 2010, A New World Together (NWA) was founded, a humanitarian organization whose goal is to assist vulnerable segments of society including orphans, widows, and hospitalized people. Each year, NWA makes sure to bring a smile to the faces of orphans at the beginning of the school year and to prisoners at Easter. On International Women’s Day, NWA distributes food and provides training to vulnerable women and widows.

NWA also goes the extra mile whenever an opportunity arises. In 2017, for example, a massive free health campaign was organized in Garoua on the occasion of the first edition of the Christ Commission International (CCI) conference held in the same city.

In 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, NWA organized another free health campaign to enable the population to know their status. This campaign was held in Yaoundé and Douala, Cameroon.
